Díkaion – Invitation to a panel on constitutionalism
Between Promise and Risk: The Challenge of Constitutional Change in Comparative Perspective
Constitutionalism and processes of constitutional change have long been topics of special interest in the academic reflection promoted by Díkaion. Over the years, the journal has published research and debates aimed at understanding the challenges faced by contemporary constitutional democracies, as well as the tensions between political transformation, institutional stability, and the protection of the fundamental principles of the rule of law. In this context, academic dialogue spaces such as the one presented here contribute to strengthening research and specialized discussion in one of the most dynamic and relevant fields of public law today.
Constitutional change raises a fundamental question for contemporary democracies: How can change be promoted without eroding the limits that guarantee constitutionalism?
The Master’s Program in Constitutional Law at Universidad de La Sabana invites you to participate in the panel discussion “Between Promise and Risk: The Challenge of Constitutional Change in Comparative Perspective,” a hybrid academic event that will bring together renowned national and international experts to examine comparative experiences and current challenges related to constitutional change.
The event will feature Juan Carlos Esguerra, Richard Albert, Pamela Aguirre, Celia Mizrahi, and Jaime Olaiz, and is organized with the support of the Martínez Quintero Mendoza González Laguado & De La Rosa Research and Studies Center (CIEM).
