Based on how the social security coordination system the European Union has evolved, this article analyzes the principles and regulations guiding that a system, as well as the dilemma that exists between bilateral agreements and regulations on coordination. It concludes with a reference to the points proposed by the European Commission to revise regulations 883/2004 and 987/2009.Downloads
